Too pretty to keep in a beauty bag

There’s a lot of hype surrounding UK Charlotte Tilbury’s line. Not just because she’s an industry expert with over two decades of experience on her hip, or the fact she’s a MUA to every A-lister you can think of, but because she creates products that are easy to use and easy to choose (perfect for this makeup rookie). Not to mention they make whipping out lippy between mains and dessert at the dinner table look chic AF.

Here are my staple picks from the line that every beauty bag needs

Supermodel Body
Yes, it does give you that Victoria’s Secret glow otherwise reserved for the likes of Candice candice Swanepoel’s killer abs. Plus it’s super hydrating. Apply across décolletage, shoulders and down the front of your arms to add definition.

Muti-Miracle Glow
This one is still in my must-haves beauty kit. Working as a cream cleanser, moisturiser or mask this cream-to-oil balm is nothing but luxe. I actually hate the way this feels as a body moisturiser because it leaves a very sticky film residue, so instead I slather it on my hands, feet and face and sleep in gloves and socks for an overnight mani/pedi /facemask treatment. Heaven.

Brow Lift
Formally a fan of the Hourglass Sculpting Pencil for it’s colour and convenience (pencil & spoolie in one), I didn’t like how the product always moved from the brow-tail. In the same price range is the Brow Lift by CT, aptly named “lift” due to the fact it contains a secret highlighter compartment. Talk about a triple-threat.

The Retoucher
Dealing with stubborn post inflammatory pigmentation and general redness across the cheeks I’ve been hard pressed trying to find a product that not only addresses both but doesn’t budge. After a long time searching, this one is IT. After applying foundation and before under eye highlighting/concealing I make a thin crosshatch pattern across the apples of my cheeks and blend this out with my foundation brush. Then I go in with the brush and apply to all my dark/red spots then blend with my finger. Magic wand much?

Filmstar Bronze & Glow
Can a girl ever have too many bronzers/highlighters, especially those that are complimentary? The answer is no. Go easy on the highlighter during the day, a light dusting will suffice as it’s quite pigmented. The bronze is a beautiful warm shade that I use in the crease of my eye and under my cheekbone. There’s a little too much sparkle for an all-over glow but the colour is DTF. Apply with this Powder & Sculpt brush.
